​Committees 

 PR&R- Process all grievance and complaints as appropriate. PR&R may consider problems pf an ethical nature set forth by the Alaska PTPC guidelines and the NEA Code of Ethics.

Membership- Organize and conduct membership enrollment. Inform members of benefits.

Membership Mentoring & Support- Work to develop collegial community and provide support to new employees.

PR- Promote camaraderie within our association. Work to develop public and internal understanding of KEA's programs, purpose and concerns.

Social Media Communications-Coordinate with KEA Officers and PR Committee to promote KEA and public educatiovia social media outlets. 
Members: Sarah Campbell

Scholarship-
 Review applications for graduating seniors attending college or Vo-Tech school and recommend awardees to Executive Board. Review applications for scholarship for KEA members to attend classes.

Nominations and Elections- Encourage and present candidates for each office prior to elections at the end of March.
Members: 


Degree Plus-  Recommend teachers who apply and meet criteria in negotiated agreement for advancement on salary scale.

Professional Leave- Review requests and recommend applications for professional leave. This committee is composed of two administrators and two teachers.
Members: Dawn Shlaudeman


Budget- Review the KGBSD Budget and make information available to the President and bargaining team.

Wellness- Plans and promotes healthy activities for members and families.

Instructional & Professional Development- Research issues of concern in Education and to KEA and make the information available to members.
Members:


Multicultural Affairs - Help to develop activities and awareness to promote and support cultural diversity of staff and students.

PACE Committee- Coordinate the political and legislative programs of KEA and report to the Executive Board.

Ad Hoc Committees
Insurance- Review district insurance benefits, investigate alternatives/supplements for comparisons. Report findings to the Executive Board.
